Design and delivery of gas processing and treatment equipment

Produced natural gas is subjected to processing for removal of components that make it difficult for gas to be pipelined.

Water, liquid hydrocarbons, aggressive and mechanical impurities present in gas will lessen the throughput capability of gas piping, increase inhibitor consumption, equipment corrosion, make it necessary to raise the capacity of gas compressor stations, decrease the performance reliability of process systems, and enhance the likelihood of occurrence of emergency situations at gas compressor stations and linear gas pipeline portions.

Engineering Solutions is capable of carrying out development of the core integrated gas treatment technology that may consist of a combination of different techniques, design of the main units of a plant and delivery of a comprehensive set of equipment to the end user’s operational site.

Preparation of gas for long-distance transmission takes place at integrated gas treatment units designed for dehydration of natural gas arriving from gas, oil and gas and gas condensate fields, separation of mechanical impurities, liquid hydrocarbons and removal of sulphur compounds.

Field equipment is selected depending on gas composition, contents of moisture and mechanical impurities, thermodynamic parameters of a field, area of subsequent use of gas and climatic conditions existing in its production and transportation regions. Taking into account the above-mentioned factors a gas treatment plant may be comprised of several units of different types.

Depending on what is required, the integrated gas treatment plant is capable of preparation of gas to merchantable quality with its subsequent transfer to a gas pipeline, preparation of  gas to a level suitable for satisfaction of own technical needs, separation of formation water and hydrocarbon condensate, obtaining stable condensate and natural gas liquids, removal of hydrogen sulphide and mercaptan sulphur, decreasing carbon dioxide quantity and utilization of low-pressure gases from terminal separation stages and weathering gases.

The integrated gas treatment plant may include the following equipment:

  • gas separators;
  • gas filters;
  • compressor stations of different types;
  • gas heaters;
  • 3-phase separators;
  • oil product pumping stations;
  • condensate stabilization unit;
  • agent regeneration unit;
  • low-temperature separation unit;
  • absorption gas dehydration and treatment unit;
  • adsorption gas dehydration and treatment unit;
  • buffer vessels;
  • drain vessels;
  • emergency tanks.
